I am refurbishing some SH parts to build up a spare Subframe for an Engine swap.

The Swivel Hubs with the built in CV Joints look Ok and will be re-used.

But in this pic of what I think is the CV Joint that sits on the end of the drive shaft that connects to the Pot Joint has lost a couple of bearings. I guess this will need to be replaced.

Will it pop off of the end of the drive shaft if I hit it?

Can't find it in the Minispares online catalogue, does it come with the Pot Joint

Thought so - can you buy them separately or will I need to buy a whole Pot Joint?

Whole pot joint.

They’re not really intended to be split, though many people do.  If split they should be kept with all their matched parts as they will have worn together.

What about missing Ball Bearings? Can I replace them with some from another joint?

At a push you could BUT they are not all the same size and any you get would need to match the size fitted. As standard there was standard and 2 oversizes IIRC. AND there could be other sizes used by recon companies over the years.

As a rule of thumb its best to replace them as a batch but if all you can do is get one or two bearings from elsewhere, then clean them all up and roll them on the floor multiple times to see if they are adequately round (roll smoothly with no noticable wobble)
