Been sat up in the garage for a while now, and with L2B on the way I've got a list of jobs I need to get on with so looking to free up some space and funds!
The engine was running sweet until the flywheel came loose and knackered the taper on the crank, so better start there as that's probably the biggest job unfortunately..
As far as I know there's no other damage to the engine so to speak of, but it's missing a couple of bits here and there hence a rebuild and the price.
Nothing special about it, standard head, cam, etc.. Only noticeable part are the pistons, which I believe are standard metro turbo ones, stamped '20831 L2'. Unfortunately they need rings as they currently don't have any as I had a hard time finding some, so I just swapped them out when I put together the engine im running now.
No problems with the gearbox jumping out or crunching gears that I recall, just needs a diff. Also to mention it's in need of a 1st motion shaft bearing, accidentally broke the plastic shell holding all the balls in place.. balls.
All in all the bones are there and would make for a good rebuild, or just strip the head, block, and box for good spares.
Viewings more than welcome, and i don't mind spending a bit of time opening it up so you can get a clearer picture.
Asking £150, bit of flexibility around that.
Obviously collection only, I can barely move it about the garage without pulling a muscle!
