Hey Guy's,

I have a 1981 Australian Leyland Moke, A+ I guess is what some may call the engine.

I want to up grade the ignition so thinking about putting a electronic dizzy in.  I found this unit close to home on ebay.

https://www.ebay.com...IkAAOSwzL9dkxcu

Will this fit my motor?  Also when they say electronic are they talking about a pointless system?

Also the one I have at the moment has a vacuum advance but there is no hose going to it.  I think a mechanic disconnected it at some point in time.

Should I get a hose and reconnect if I get this new or try and get a mechanical advance dizzy?

Thanks

Brad

If you are going to replace your distributor, I would suggest one of these;-

They are not only good value for money, but actually have the correct advance curves. I've tested a lot of after market distributors from all over the world and these are the only off the shelf ones I've found that are actually correct.

I did notice in Tony's ebay advert, his distributors are 'fits all engines', which is enough to make me run away.

Bhahaha,,,,, I was last time I looked (about 3 days South of you).

By default, Mini Spares send parcels by DHL and usually around a week to receive them, but for 1 or 2 items, it can be a little expensive.

If you ask (or there's an option) for post, it would be cheaper and isn't too bad at all, but take a little longer.
