I am thinking of fitting a fuel filter, my car being a Mk1 it never had one. Now with a rebuilt 1293 A+ I am wondering if it’s worth it and if so where is a good place to put it, and which inline part is best to use?

I use the inline paper filters (link below) with 8mm pipes, fitted between the tank and fuel pipe along the floor (some say to fit between the lift pipe from the Mechanical pump and the carb)

I fit mine at the back of the car if possible.

Large filters

Small (the type I use)

I always fit the larger paper type held onto the rear subframe with a P clip.

Run the hose out of the tank into the filter and then a second hose from the filter to the solid fuel line that runs under the car.
