Hi all,just need a little help,thinking of buying this engine,need info about it though,please help.

There are more numbers tho not sure if they are needed.cheers guys.

There were no 1100 A+ engines.

 

it is out of a Clubman Saloon.

It shows signs of a+,
Webbing by where oil filter bolts on,what else can i check from a photo.

Timing chain cover is not just egg shaped,it has the kink for tensioner.

no it shows signs of not being original.

 

or that it was build at the end of 1980 when the A plus was coming in.

 

there were no A+ 1098 listed.

For some reason the link goes to ".com" rather than ".co.uk". if my link below doesn't work just change the ".com" bit to ".co.uk" and it will work.

10H791AA   =  1100 Mini Clubman saloon.

On 1100 engines If it's got a dipstick tube then it's A series, if the dipstick goes directly into the block then it's an early A+ (rare but it seems they did exist).
