I seem to have two of these thin fibre parts left over from my rebuild... but I can't remember where they came from? They seem to have impact adhesive on the back so must be from the trim somewhere.

Despite my meticulous picture taking I can't find any photos to show me where I took them from!!

It is a 1972 Mini.... any ideas?

Not a Scoobies. There was some random bits of junk stuffed in the body to tackle rattles etc. I thought perhaps packing for behind the door lock mech, but that wouldn't explain the jaunty angles they're cut at & would likely involve glue.

They look like the inserts that get glued into the headlining to create a clean fold where it joins the B post.

These look like parts from the headlining around the b pillar.

Thanks Barnyard and Petey... you’re probably right. I had visions of somewhere like that, but clearly forgot and so haven’t fitted them!!

I don’t fancy disturbing the headlining again, but maybe I’ll take a look in the summer.

Thanks again for your help.

I have just reviewed my "before" photos again and I can see the faintest hint of a triangular mark in the dirt on the headlining. I have highlighted it in the attached photo.

Looks like the mystery is definitely solved and I need to fit these at some point to preserve my Mini's originality.

Thanks again Barnyard and Petey.
