So I'm going to be rebuilding both subframes.
Front will be media blasted and powder coated.
I will be buying a new genuine rear one but the question is do these require any extra painting?
You can only buy a non genuine rear subframe powdercoated.
What has everyone else done?
Your thought would be much appreciated, thanks.

Don’t powered coat. 2k epoxy it.

powder coat chips then let’s water in and you can’t touch it up.

The Heritage rear subframe will come in E-coat which will not survive on its own.

As Nick has said I paint my subframes in 2K black. It’s hard wearing and unlike powder coating it can be touched up. Once you have a chip or crack in powder coat water can get trapped underneath it and cause rust.

Never understood why some like powder coating everything, sounds good and looks good for a while.....but as said once it chips it makes rust & corrosion worse.

Powdercoat properly applied will last, you can get the subframe galvanised first then powder coated.  Paint chips as well so unless you are under your car every time you take it out to check for any stone chip damage then things will happen.

Your choice, your car. Go with what YOU want to do.
