Hi, 

My mini is soon to be ready for welding and spraying and was wondering if anyone had any places they would recommend to do the job. I'm located in Northampton so the closer the better, however I do not mind travelling. Thank you in advance :)

I think most will suggest you have it brought to Mill Road garage if you can.

Don't let the thought of the ferry crossing put you off.

 

I was concerned about it and took a holiday there just to scope out the lie of the land.

 

Took the Lymington to Yarmouth crossing and the ferry company was brilliant. Loading and unloading was a doddle and the company was very flexible. Going out we arrived 2 hours early and were able to arrange the next sailing which was about 15 minutes later. Returning we were able to change the booking again when we decided to leave earlier. I got the impression if the ferry can fit you in they will.

 

Oh, and Mill Road Garage is literally 5 minutes from the ferry port.

Again not east mids but Jason & Chris @ www.theminirestorationcompany.co.uk are doing a great job of my Elf. Should be out soon. What I would say is I'm sure most of the recommended places will have a waiting list so don't wait until the last minute.
