I thought a car was £18.99 per listing?Not strictly true, it’s free to list, especially if an auction, and they only make money on final value fees, or if the seller buys a classified ad listing, which these are not.
But I do agree that how on earth can this fraud still be prevalent and so easy to spot, why can’t they use their software to spot and delete or even stop them from posting multiple fake listings in the first place!

Yes it is £18.99, so probably a stolen eBay account and PayPal. Sometimes these scammers put the car on auction starting at £1, they quickly inflate the price with other hacked or dubious account to inflate the price, so they don't have to bother with paying.
