What a great project. Good luck with it.
Early Mk.1's in original condition or with period mods are really going up in value now as the Cooper & S become unatainable for many.

it hasn't ran for 14 yrs last tax disc was 2006 engine turns over so may change oil and make up a small petrol feed and see if itl burst into life ,needs front scuttle and wings , rear subframe front floor pans and probably loads of other bits when I start poking around probably start restoring it around nov dec this year until then itl be in the far corner of my garage reg number is RSL 411 so nice number too, love mk1s ive a 1978 saloon undergoing a tidy up and sort out at the mo so that and life in general keeps me busy

if you've any spare paint left from doing your ramp....... looks same colour as the mini!!
to be honest; (based on what limited info from photos) I've seen much worse.
hope you didn't pay through the npose; looks like a worthwhile project

I also thought that the mini had side running boards...
Also the pedal additions need to be thrown as far away as possible... horrid looking things...

lol yeh the pedal covers have gone straight in the bin and a few other bits as well ,additions added by a previous owner , ive so far removed two carpets and one underlay , floors will be replaced , flitch panels as well as a panels inner and outer as well as inner wings and scuttle, the heater in the mini is strange to me anyway it has no middle lever to select heat just a lift up flap to direct heat
