Hehehe I love this, yeah maybe they were, they ain't now! I just measured a set of glaciers. Stop looking in books and actually measure what turns up in packets.

That is always good and wise practice, however, while I always do check, this is why I went to Repco / ACL some 30+ years ago over Glacier and Vandevals. What Repco and later, ACL publish is what they are. I'm yet to be supplied a set that isn't.

I also mentioned that ACL (actually Repco) were an OEM Supplier to our local production - I'd happy follow their info. I've never found it in error.

 

If you are finding the bearings and thrusts that you are being supplied somewhat variable in what they are, maybe you should swap to a quality bearing like ACLs.

I never trust any supplier on anything. Measure what you got, as that depends what matters.
