Does anyone know what the standard crankshaft thrust thickness is please for a 1098/998?

My current worn ones are 0.0890/895". I have 12 thou endfloat. Oversize thrust are very rare now; only Thorntons seem to have them but I need to know if +0.003 size will reduce my float to the correct size or if I have to go on the hunt for 0.030" ones and have them skimmed.

Thanks.

From my terribly badly written notes I do believe that my new standard sized thrust washers for my 998 were 0.093".

I'll give them a ring, they've been helpful in the past when I've spoken to them. Thanks.

i just done mine on my 1275cc so not sure if they're the same thickness. I bought mine on eBay and standard new thrusts are around 92thou and my +3 We're 95thou. Fitting new standard thrusts brought my float down to 6 thou. So I got the +3 to get it down some more

when I measured up my old thrusts I'd lost around 10 thou . I'd try new standard then see where you are first

At 'trial build' stage I always fit a pair of standard thickness thrusts. Then I measure the end float and any required additional thickness can be established.

If you need more than the available oversizes, you can get a pair of +0.030" ad have them surface ground to the correct thickness to give the recommended end-float. Remember to grind the steel backing side!

I always thought that SDT thrust washers were 3/32". or .9375"

Mine are ACL and measured 0.093" which is nice as it appears that's what they're meant to be.
