Hello

I have a 1275 engine ( 12G1279 block) with an original head (12G940). 
I am rebuilding it now, but I am missing the camshaft. I don’t want to port the head yet as I don’t have time for it at the moment. Can I use a tuning cam ( like a Swiftune SW5-07) on an original 12G940 head ?

yes you can, it just won't unleash its potential until the head is sorted. Do it, if you want, and then port the head later to get the gains ;)
