What's going on here then? 1996 spi.

I'm fitting some new tower mount bushes. On removing the tower bolts I've found both both bolt holes not centered in the hole. The subframe is too far forward at both sides. The bolts only just go in. Teardrops and rear mounts are all good.

Can I support everything, loosen all mounts and re align starting with the towers?

Yep, just loosen everything off and wiggle it about a bit.

It`s late Rover build quality i`m afraid and some cars I worked on in the early 90`s under the corrosion warranty had to have the subframes " adjusted " with a porta-power ram to get the towers to line up.

I would strongly suggest you fit solid mounts ( full kit ) and either way some spacers on the teardrop mounts.

Thanks. I'll give that a go. Minispares are still delivering as of this morning
