Windscreen Wiper Holes

I am going to fill 2 of them for a slightly cleaner look.
Until I looked at old pictures of the car in 1 piece. My wipers used the 2 inner holes. Not 1 outside and 1 inside. So I looked at pictures from the brighton run and they are all over the place. Some use outer left inner right. Some the opposite and I found another with the 2 inner holes
What's right for a RHD pick up?

Depends on the age.
Mk1 minis had the wipers in what are now the inner holes in the scuttle panel with the wipers parking on the driver's side. This was a pretty common way of doing wipers on British cars at the time. At some point in production, possibly the mk2s, possibly the mk3s, it changed to four holes in the scuttle. The hole nearest the driver was used, the next was blank, the one after this was used and the end one was blank. The wipers now parked on the passenger side. Most other cars changed to this new arrangement too at various times.
The latter arrangement clears more of the screen and doesn't leave as large an unwiped arc in the top corner on the driver's side. The former arrangement looks nicer though I think when both wipers (chromed/stainless of course) are parked next to each other, very sixties.

Yet the optimal det up is passenger side park with holes 1 and 3 from the drivers side?

Ok its 1980. So you think it's been set up as a mk1 as yes they were parked on the drivers side.
Yet the optimal det up is passenger side park with holes 1 and 3 from the drivers side
kinda depends on if you are going to use the original parts or not.

I too had this dilemma, wanting to weld up the two holes not used.
Mine uses the two inner holes with wipers parked on drivers side.

I've never seen them any other way to what I said above unless they've been mucked around with. You can of course do as you wish as many have done.
Edit: well that's annoying, things at Imgur have changed and I don't know how to share photos now.

I had my unnecessary wiper holes welded up. You can work out, from the washer jets which ones I retained, for RHD.

I think Van and Pick-up always used the two central holes.

My 1978 Van used the centre two holes as per the brochure from the same era in the link below - perhaps it was changed later in production?

Interesting, the plot thickens.
