HI, I'm Mike from the Cayman Islands.   just bought a 98 mini out of Japan, and its on its way here.  SHould be here end of April.

I plan on doing a few things in the near future, but waiting to see what is needed on the car first.   Just want a little more HP out of it.  It is automatic though.

My present cars.

1. 2003 Hummer H2 - lifted 8in'

2 1995 toyota supra - single turbo - highly modified

3. 2009 toyota noah

4. 1998 rover mini - auto- soon be here

Hello Mike.

You won't want to hear this, but with the "grunt" of a Hummer to satisfy a lust for power, and a Supra "ditto" for speed, may I suggest that your Right Hand Drive Mini would best be enjoyed "As a standard automatic Mini".

If you want more power in a Mini, better to start with a manual gear change.  Although the Autos can be driven with verve, they were aimed at elderly or urban drivers.

Don't get me wrong, the gear boxes will stand more power, but if it were to malfunction, there aren't many who know how to fettle them.
