Evening all,
At a time when some have more time to ponder I wondered if someone could advise me.
I am renovating a 1968 Cooper and I have been given a set of, i believe mk3, recliners.
However, when I put them in they catch on the door bins.
Before I recover them, has anyone any advice on how I can get them to fit...
They fit if I swap passenger for drivers but then they foul against the hand break.

Any thought?

Many thanks.

Instead of mounting the seat in the brackets, mount them beside the brackets by passing a length of threaded studding through the inner seat mount, inner bracket, outer seat mount and outer bracket to see if the seat clears the bins and hand brake.

If it does, either use tubular spacers or pairs of lock nuts to set the seat in the desired place.
