i should have all the welding and primer done this week just the boot floor to finish up

i have primed most of the underside already with upol #5 high build primer

i have sikaflex in a tube to use as seal sealer and upol brush seam sealer in a tin

what should i use on top of this before i spray the underside and put it back on the sub frames

gravitex has been mentioned on here is that best?

Gravitex is my weapon of choice or there is Upol Raptor.

But i would use an epoxy primer rather than a standard primer under this as its water resistant.

Made by Upol so must be similar but never used Aerosols for stone chipping.

I would say you will be ok with Graviguard.

I spray the sills as well, so basically from the doorstep to sill flange down.

Ok that’s what I will do

I have bought a compressor now as I have plenty of time on my hands

I bought paint yesterday after much deliberation and help from below link I went for 1970s Tahiti blue

I would put up I pic instead of a link but it won’t attach as its saying file too big

Welding on main body fished at last, Primed, stone chipped and started to spray, done underside and inside.

I’m going to put subframes back in and all fuel/ brake lines on also main battery cable, then get it back on its wheels and spray the outside

I’ve put seat brackets back in, fitted steering rack and reconnected handbrake cable

Anything else before it comes off the rotisserie?

Sorry for picture quality lots of reflections

Can’t seem to add pics at the moment iPad saying photo library is empty I’ll try again later

Hi, my son and I are working our way to returning our mini to the road, we are still a long way off though! I’m near at the stage of priming the underside with epoxy primer, then giving it a coat of stone chip, I’m going for tintable Raptor. How much do stone chip did you use?
Also we wanted to paint it BMW San Marino Blue (code B51) but Jawel said that is any available in pearl, I don’t want pearl. Is your 1970s Tahiti blue close to the BMW colour?
Cheers
