I've recently fitted a maniflow medium lcb and 1.75" twin box exhaust. I also fitted a minispares torquemaster inlet. I fitted these parts to ready the car for 1275 I'm rebuilding and the car currently still has its 998 which was running like a swiss watch until I fitted the above parts.

However the car bogs down now under acceleration. Am I right to assume a different needle is required? And also which needle would people in the know recommend? I just need to get the mini running nicely until the new motor is ready. Still on standard airbox and filter.

Cheers in advance

Rich

AAU is well suited for 998 with stage 1 kit or a little bit richer is AAA

Get an AAA and also check for manifold leaks and also Re top up the dashpot oil. See if that helps.

It's all good for leaks and vac advance seems to be working. Will get a AAA needle ordered.

Cheers for the advice

AAA ran too rich. AAU was perfect for my stage 1 setup

I had the same set up and the same issue with blogging down. I stuck an AAA needle in there and it sorted everything out. No bogging and plenty of go.

AAA needle went in this afternoon. Runs like a dream. Very potent considering it's a 998. Just need lock down to ease up now so I can send the 1275 gt block off for machining!

Go to the MOT Centre to see if you can get an emissions readout.
