Mini Spares C-Aeg371 Downpipes And Link Pipe For Injection Cars

Best Answer Quinlan minor , 10 September 2021 - 01:34 PM

Apologies for the late update!

Thanks, Expat_cat.

Bought and fitted the C-AEG371 Downpipes and Link Pipe for Injection Cars.

As you can see from the photo, it's a major improvement.

I can now attack speed humps with confidence and my MOT Tester was so happy, he almost smiled.

Wondering if anyone out there has had experience of Mini Spares C-AEG371 Downpipes and Link Pipe for Injection Cars?

I have a GEX12043 Injection Twin Downpipe, at the moment, but  the down part looks like it's at least an inch longer than it needs to be. I can easily get my hand between the horizontal section and the body.

The flex section gets rubbed, every so often, and has abraded the covering mesh off the bottom of it. It's caused an MOT advisory and I intend replacing before the next Test.

I don't fancy paying twice the money to have the same problem with the C-AEG371.

Any input gratefully received.

Ohh that's annoying as I wanted to get that one you have on the car now, but it looks way lower than the original.

Have you had a word with Minispares about it? Have you done any other nods to your car?

Nothing changed on the car that would drop the manifold.

It's been on for a few years now.

I did consider chopping a bit out of the verticals but it's a major undertaking without a hoist.

Part of the reason I was asking was to find out if I got a long one or they're all like that..

Fitted a couple of years ago.  The old braided pipe was worn through and caught on anything like a ramp.

The C-AEG371 has a ball and socket with spring, so no braided section.

Never catches now, fitted easily.  I found that the new downpipe's shape made access to the flange bolts easier than when taking off the old downpipe.

I've been running one, though I bought it from Minisport and it's looks to be the same thing supplied by Maniflow.

No rubbing issues at all and comes with the bracket to mount it to the diff housing for a solid fit.
