Love the colour of the subframes - but I think they may clash with the red the engine is painted.

Thanks John,

I guess I should have mentioned that the Body and under bonnet is going to be Candy Red too .. If it clashes it won't take much to change the colour .. Its still an evolving project

Every project I ever have evolved...

- depending on

1. what the wife knows about....
2. The bank balance.
3. What I can get my hands on.....

Got the chip in the windscreen repaired and fired it up after 7 weeks of rest. First try and ran sweet, just need to work out my carb settings again as it idles slightly too low whilst on Choke and she's stuttering if I go quickly on the gas when cruising. I Might turn the idle up then change to a slightly richer needle.

Engine is a 998 A+ on a DAM5626 box, stage 1 kit with RC40, AAU Needle currently fitted, I have been advised on the forum to try an AAM needle. CO is set to 0.76 (tried richening 1 turn but hasn't made a difference)

Hi Cal,

Thanks for the update .. Not sure what it has to do with the thread but good to know ya windscreen is fixed and your all fired up ... :)

I'm sure there is someone on here that can help with the lumpy running but your post may have been better put up as a question to get more noticed rather than at the tail end of a mini build update ...

Anyway ... Good luck mate ... hope ya get it sorted

Thanks bpirie

They are 8.4" so have to go with 12" Supelites

Its My daughters car ... She is helping with the build and currently the shell is away with getting welded, primed and finished (full bare metal respray) She is going with the candy red on current Mazda's with pearl white roof and a pin stripe.
