Hi,
We have clutch and brake master cylinders off of my 1975 mini as shown in the images below.
I am confused by the the array of different build kits as the pistons that I have removed from my master cylinders have flat ends and don’t seem to match those found in the rebuild kits online.
They can be clearly seen in the images provided.

Can anybody recommend me the correct kits for rebuild, as every time I phone various suppliers they tell me something different.

Thanks,
Josh

As you can see the kit you sent me contains a different piston from what I have removed from my cylinder? I don’t suppose you can explain why it’s different, is it just updated design?

I would be going for new master cylinders if I were you as the bores will most certainly be damaged by corrosion and scuffing.

The different piston is the improved design but with genuine AP master cylinders starting at around £45 it`s a good investment that might save your life one day.

That’s what the description says

Actually it doesn't, the kit clearly states that it contains "a new piston" there is no clarification as to it being a new or improved design or differing from the original. You didn't read the question.
I appreciate the links though and Absx2 answered the question regarding the shape and difference between the pistons which was very helpful.

Thanks mate,
That's exactly what I wanted to know and you took the time to actually answer the question properly. I will now put some serious thought in to the new cylinders through your recommendation.
Thanks,
Josh.
