I've stripped the dash out for weight loss and I'm just looking for ideas on how to tidy up the mess of cables and what not left behind so it looks half reasonable
Any thoughts appreciated or pics!
Cheers

Hi, if it was a full width dash how did you get the bottom of it loose? I have a tired looking one in my car and despite lying on the floor and staring upwards I can`t find any fixings anywhere. Seems quite solid but I don`t know how.

Skin it with an alloy sheet.

If you pull the vents our you will see a metal strap on each side.
The straps have a bolt welded on the end which point downwards through a bracket attached to the inner side wall.
If you trace the straps down with a finger you will feel the raised rounded bolt head which will help you locate the 7/16 nut from below.
You'll need a socket and a long extension bar to get onto the nuts.
Once undone just bend the straps upwards and job done.
