Hi all,
I am doing an EV conversion on my mini moke.
Motor, batteries and misc electrics are all purchased, motor is 120hp173 go torque so no need for actual gear changing. I was hoping to make it RWD but no one was interested in taking my money, so it’s back to FWD with a Honda/vaux/ Suzuki gearbox with an adapter plate to take the motor.

Is it always necessary to use a new custom subframe ? or can things be bracketed off the original SF ?

Can anyone advise what’s the lightest gearbox and simplest on shaft changes.... I pulled my old shafts off yesterday, but can get my head around how to have mini one end and Honda (or whatever) on the other, besides cutting and joining shafts.

Cheers for any guidance you can offer

Are you still interested in doing this conversion? Just curious.

I'm still kicking around this idea, and it sounds from the quick spec of the motor it's the same one I'm proposing to use. Cheers.
