Rubber Bungs For Heater Pipe Holes In Bulkhead

Hi I’m looking for some bungs to blank of the highlighted holes, I can’t find a part number , if anyone knows that would be great

Not sure if anyone does blank grommets for the elongated holes for 5/8" heater hoses as Minis from that era always had a heater fitted....

Gaffer tape both sides.

You can try insert a blind grommet into the current elongated type grommets

Cal844 I think that’s what I will have to try I’ve done that with the rest , I’ll have to buy some larger ones and just try them

Haha always a possibility but want it to look a bit cleaner

How about making some blanking plates, either bond them on or bolt them on and colour code them. Whatever you use you need to make sure they seal.

I think I might have to , I’ll try source some rubber bungs to try if not I’ll plate I wish I’d I welded up before painting but to late now

I dont mean as in welding them in place, either make an insert to the size of the hole you have got, bond that onto a slightly wider backing plate, paint to match the bulkhead then bond the whole thing in place.

 

If in the future you need to reuse the hole you can pop the blanking plate off.
