Hey,
Only me again!!!!
Really hoping this one has never been asked.
Ever since I first got my min over 2 years ago now, I've wanted him to be rainbow. Just the thought makes me smile. I know it's daft but it's something different.

I do want 7 horizontal stripes going down the sides, that's from the top of the door red, down the door through to purple. This is all very well, but I don't quite know how it's going to work across the bonnet.....

Either stripes that come up the boot, across the roof and down the bonnet, but I can't get them to meet the side stripes well. Or could bend around the car from the horizontal lines on the side to go horizontally accross the bonnet, but this will give thicker strips across the bonnet as the sides will need to line up.

I don't know if you will understand what I mean, I haven't described it very well atall. Any suggestions welcome, ideas on how I can match the sides to the front without it looking daft.

But please no one slate the rainbow min :o

Thanks :o

:w00t: i think i know what you mean..? :o

You want one single rainbow over all '3' sides of the car, right side, left side, and front/top/back...right?

I think you would either have to have 3 bent rainbows, one per side, or, all 7 rainbows colours but in straight lines one per side or one set of 7 rainbow colours (straight lines) over the entire car running from front to back..

:o :w00t: does that make sense? SOunds like an awesome idea by the way! :w00t:

Ah I'm glad you said that, all my mates have ripped it out of me, even my mum for this! But I'm determined!

I wanted straight lined rainbows each side, all horizontal as you look at the car from any side, the lines all being horizontal, straight across the doors and straight across the bonnet, but this doesn't really work as the drivers side pannel has that seam and then the wheel arch and the round nose and across the bonnet that won't line up well. I think maybe a right angle turn is a bit harsh but a curve looks a bit crappy. I don't know. Done so many sketches on the mini mag none of em make sense anymore! hehe

sounds funky by the way!!!!

how bout, like u said, having it in 'bands' so that they're be thicker on the bonnet but still match up on the sides? that way u could even have the roof the first colour? and then have the other colours coming down the sides of the car?
if that makes sense?

No way, that car is beautiful! :P
Cheeky buggers ain't ya! lol
Yeh I was either goin to have the roof red and a little way down the side, or white roof and start the rainbow at the doors.
Think I'll do some more doodles and go talk to a paint man.
Thanks for your ideas.
I'm sure ud be surprised what people have gone into halfords looking for! Think the worst I've requested so far was a bonnet stick, they just laffed but I'm sure if someone sent me in for tartan paint I'd toodle on in and ask for it! Trusting people like us are!:P
Anyways, hope you see me brumming round in my min soon!

what about starting the rainbow using one of the front wheel arches as the innermost arch of the rainbow and then going out and all over the car? So the outer/upper colours of the rainbow would cover more of the car, see what i mean?
