Hi
Apologies if this has been asked before, I've done a bit of searching and come up short.
I'm looking to provide additional coolant flow out of the dead end of the head, without fitting a dry deck kit. Application is a rally car with no heater.
I was originally thinking that I could run a hose from the heater outlet on the end of the head straight to a fitting welded into the top tank of the radiator.
But I've discovered that some models had a "sandwich plate" that provided a takeoff for the heater at the thermostat housing.
So the question is - is there going to be effective benefit in piping the heater outlet on the end of the head to the fitting on a thermostat sandwich plate?
What about connecting it to the top tank of the radiator?
I'm not keen on plumbing it directly to the bottom hose, as it's basically taking some of the hottest coolant, and feeding it straight back into the engine, when it should be going to the top of the radiator.
Thanks all
