I had hi-los fitted 4 years ago on standard 4.5 wheels. Just fitted 5x12 with 165/60 tires, just figuring how to lower etc if it needed it

Thats about the height they were from the factory. In my opinion it's the best height if you want to drive it and not worry about potholes and speed bumps, and take passengers and luggage.

Seems a little too high to me.  I believe the standard height is when the driveshafts are parallel to the floor - possibly a tad higher with twelve inch wheels, then set the back so the rear end of the sill is slightly higher than the front.

 

Go as low as you like but if you start hitting the bump stops then either slow down or preferably raise it back up a little.

The wheel size makes virtually no difference as a 165/70 x 10 has almost the same rolling radius as a 165/60 x 12 and a 175/50 x 13. They are within a few per cent and make no real difference to ride height.
