No idea on the toeboard question, but I wanted to say thanks for the clear pics as I'm about to tackle the door step myself! Going for the same Heritage panel. The hardest part for me is knowing how things are meant to be. Could do with the exploded diagrams on the likes of minispares but in high quality and drag drop build instructions! Seeing whats behind that heritage door step panel at the A post in your pics was like an 'ahhh! I see' moment :)

I've been at mine on and off in various forms for 10 years (I did the same as you and switched project shells half way through, triggers broom this one). This year will be the year of progress! PS. If I'm reading this post in 10 years and it's still not done I owe myself a proper kick in the balls.

I'm glad this is helpful for you as that's the whole idea of project threads not only to look back on for myself but to try and help others by giving them an insight into whats involved etc.

Good luck with yours i haven't touched this one for a week or so just been so busy with work but hoping to get some time on it this weekend. Really hoping to get this inner wing on and get cracking with the other doorstep ready for the floor replacement. Having looked at other peoples projects i think i may have done this awkwardly which is boggling my brain a bit as i should of started from the boot and worked my way forward i believe but we shall see how we go its a massive learning curve as I've never taken on a project as big as this before. Good luck with yours and any questions you can inbox me and I will try and help the best I can.
