Hi guys,I have just fitted a gas flowed head and med 1.5 roller rockers,to my 2000 mpi,
Already has an lcb, decat, (with lambda fitted) rc40 system,
Upon running up to temp ,looks like centre lcb branch is a dull red hot colour,
I have since blocked off breathe tubes into throttle body which helped a little,
Do I need a updated fuel pressure reg as per the performance kit for the cooper mpi?

Thanks for any info/input
??

Sounds like it’s overfueling
How was it behaving before the mods?

I don't believe you need an uprated fuel pressure regulator as I ran something similar on an MPi engine with out an issue.

Does anyone close to you have a code reader to see if anything is revealed by sensor readings?

Dull red colour is you're either your timing is running too advanced, and/or you're running lean. What are your AFRs? What cam have you got fitted?

Sounds lean. Did you fit the larger MPI 52mm throttle body by chance?
