Morning All,

Is this a common issue with magnum front panels?

The section for mounting to the subframe looks to have been welded on ‘wonky’. The left side is lower than the right.

Have you bolted it onto the car yet? If so how does it look?

Whats most important is where the holes in the bracket are in relation to the top and bottom of the panel, it might be the bracket is in the wrong place or it might be that the left and right brackets just arn't made the same due to poor press tooling and have to be welded on in different positions so it all lines up.

I would assume they must use some form of jig on these for welding.

It is probably not a problem.

To install the front panel make sure the front sub-frame is bolted in, then lightly bolt the front panel to the sub-frame first.

Once that is done, line up the inner wings with the front panel and 'fettle' them to fit.

The outer front wings can then be 'trial fitted' and any minor adjustments made to ensure correct bonnet fit as well as all other panels fits before tack welding takes place.

Tack the inner wings on first, then ensure that the outer wings still line up correctly.

Finally, weld it all together.
