After searching the forum for peoples recommendations on what adjustable dampers to fit, I've decided to get some Protech ones. (Thanks to all of you for your reviews!)

My question is which length to get?

I'll be running:

Red Dots

Adjustable trumpets

12" Wheels

Standard damper mountings

The adjustable trumpets are just to get the stance correct and gaps between the tyre and the arches. If I go for "Standard" length dampers, will this prevent me dropping the height of the car?

Cheers!

Nic

It won't prevent you dropping it, but it may mean that the suspension dislocates on full droop (ie jacked up or if the wheel leaves the road for any reason) and/or you may bottom the shocks out on full compression.

Both of these are most likely at the rear.

If you are likely to be more than 1/2" lower than standard, then I would fit lowered height shocks.

With standard protecs on both my mini and Midas it was sat on the shocks, ie no travel, lowered items sorted this.
