Would someone kindly measure from the rear of the seat crossmember to the front of heelboard, long wheelbase Mini please?

It’s a long story but my car has been welded across the floor behind the seat crossmember and measuring the wheebase it appears to be 7-8mm too short.

Happy to measure my countryman, 1968c, but not sure what is meant by the front of the heelboard (sorry, showing my ignorance!). If you let me know I will wield the tape measure pronto....

Best wishes

Mike

The crossmember position isn't that fixed/critical and could be a bit more one way or the other, you really need to measure from the suspension mountings.

thank you, that is interesting as your pick is within .12" as my measurements are 35.62" at tunnel and 35.87" at side bin

Thank you. I appreciate that your suggested method would be the best but I do not have the subframes on the car at the moment as the mounting plates have disintegrated

Hi Mike, I am probably showing my ignorance and not using the correct term, I believe it is the panel at the very rear of the floor.

yep - that's right; Heel board is the vertical panel at the rear of the floor pan (the one the subframe bolts to), conversely the toeboard is the panel that goes between  the front edge of the floor pan to the bulkhead

either of you know what or where the flitch panel is ?  i'm still struggling with that one..

I always thought the flitch panel was the inner front wing.
