nope none of your pictures show the max min marks. you only show the smooth back side.#

here (as posted earlier bigger? you can see the length from the fixed metal stop on the dipstick

ehHSddhm.jpg

and then the detail of the measurement

i would just chop the bottom of the stick. as everything seems to measure up other that the length.

but before that just check there is nothing in the box stopping it.

Nothing wrong with the dip stick, it is the tube which is wrong - the upper portion looks too short.

New this week from Somerford.. Not that that means much, they said it was the correct one, maybe they got then made too small

And you measured it and said it was 33mm which if anything is a tad long.

I have just been sticking thing into the dip stick hole on the empty A+ block and remote gearbox case I have dummying up in the car. And there is something that can get in the way. And you can find a 5 mm difference in depth.

What gets in the way? .... Mine's pre a+ and 1128 box if that makes a difference.. I'll pull it all apart again if I have to, hey I've got nothing else to do in this shielded life

You see the bump? That is just about where the dip stick goes. No I have no idea if that is directly below the dip stick or should be to one side. I don’t know how straight the plastic tubes fit.

so as your stick is a few mm too long it could be touching the bump  or instead of being next to the bump it is above it.

like I said earlier as the tube is the right length. The max min marks are about the same just trim the stick.
