When sorting out the garage a metal curtain pole the I had propped up fell onto the A-panel of the Mini causing a fairly large chip. That'll teach me...

It's a 1989 first gen Racing Green, so paint code RWV (meaning as far as I know the green is HNA with a diamond white roof)

I imagine to get a perfect repair, I'd likely need to get someone who knows what they are doing to respray that panel with the correct colour and lacquer on top. However for now I'm happy to give it a go myself with some sort of touch up with a proper job for later.

Any recommendations?

I see there's a few different kits around - some including lacquer and some not. Be good to get any views on what you have tried before. I use to have a Halfords kit (primer, paint and lacquer) but that has long dried up and seems no longer available?

Also longer term, any recommendations for a place near Worcestershire for a better job that I could do!
