When I've gone to refit it all, I've noticed one of the pipes from minispares doesn't reach between the master cylinder and the compensator valve.
When the car was last on the road, the Pipes were as follows:
Top left of compensator to bottom of master cylinder
Top right of compensator to top of master cylinder
I then checked on my 1988 red hot, also with a front/rear split brake system, and noticed the pipes are the opposite way around:
Top left of compensator valve to top of master cylinder
Top right of compensator to bottom of master cylinder
Somewhat confused, I then checked my 1982 pickup, with a split diagonal system. This is set up as follows:
Top left of compensator valve to bottom of master cylinder
Top right of compensator valve to top of master cylinder.
I've never swapped any of these pipes around. So I'm somewhat confused as to the difference between the 86 and 88 minis that both have a front to rear split system. Does it matter as to what way around the pipework goes?
Thanks for any help in advance!
Alex
