I saw a 1275 Turbo in bits for sale on Facebook for 650 euros. I was sorely tempted just to get it and tuck it away... Someone certainly got a bargain

There’s a fella near me that things a boggo 998 is worth 600 quid without any ancillaries. It does have a set of clocks that say 45k though so it must be a low mileage unit...
I offered him a fair 200 but his price is firm.

Is a 998 really worth 200 quid? I've still got mine which has been sat in the corner of the garage for about 6 years, and I was planning on just giving it away to save space, as I figured no one wanted them!

Give it to me? Lol 200 quid seemed more then fair I thought but he wanted much much more

I paid £280 for my engine and box which was in bits. That said I got a free 998 engine and a Midas with it. ?

I dare say that knackered kit cars may be the best source of engines that need rebuilding in the future.

I also find it hard to stomach,.. Mainly because any second hand engine you're buying with the age of an A-series, and without considerable history + evidence Is best viewed as 'needing a rebuild'. So £750 just to say you own it seems steep to me - but a look with the 'items sold' filter on shows other engines similarly priced succesfully sold. Unfortunately!

However as mentioned above,.. The Price these old lumps of iron sell for will dictate the markets direction. If they get £750 then fair enough. maybe it goes for a bit less, maybe it doesn't sell at all.

Don't get me wrong,.. I'd much prefer the £200 for an engine days to return
