Clutch Pedal Sank And Now Won't Return

Sorry missed your posts. I ment the pivot in the pedal box that the brake and clutch pedal pivot on. Item 8 in the photo. Just undo the nut and knock it out. Take care not to damage the thread and you may need some penetrating oil.

Mine ('93 Rio) did almost exactly the same after being sat for a while.
 
The lever had seized at the pivot at the end of the wok. I gave it a thump with a rubber mallet (I think) a few
times and that freed it, then lubricated it to stop it happening again.


Was that while the pedal box was in the car or did you take it then whack it

 

Sorry for the late reply, it was the pivot point A in Quinlan Minor's reply.

 

Much easier to have a go loosening this before you start thinking about the pedal box!

right i understand now I'm going to try that if i can while it's in the car, I'll give it a good soak in penetrating oil first.
