If you have a “boot full of fuel” a pissy little extinguisher ain’t gonna be any good wherever it’s fitted. The best safety feature on any car is a battery cut off imo.

If you ever have a fire under the bonnet do NOT open the bonnet. If you have an original bonnet catch then open catch to the safety catch position then squirt the extinguisher through that small gap or through grille and also from underneath.

Seen too many under bonnet fires turn into infernos because the bonnet was opened fully opened.

Battery master switch is good idea as well but don't fit it under the bonnet.

If ever there was a fire in my car n my first action will be to get out and assess. Would not even think about reaching for an extinguisher before getting everyone out. So I still thin having one in boot can be a good thing.
