I have a 1990 998 which I converted to electronic ignition and I usually use NGK Bpr6es spark plugs. I was recently given 20 Champion NY9C non resistor spark plugs. Can I use them with the electronic ignition?
Thanks

Resistor plugs would be to reduce EMF interference that could mess with the electronic and are also likely to be stronger with electronic switching. Your plugs leads will also add resistance. Just try 'em, if you get misfires or loads of crackling on your radio (or neighbour's telly)  you can switch back.

I have two 998 A+ engined minis, both on the 65D distributor and both run great with NGK BPR6ES plugs, gapped at whatever they come out the box.

I'm sure I also needed resistor plug leads on one of my minis too as I was getting the electrical signal whine through the sound system.
