So does my '98 "Cooper branded" Japanese market Mini class as a Mini Cooper?
Probably.....but anyway the MCR welcomes all kinds of Minis not just Coopers, in fact the postponed Beaulieu Mini Day in August has non-Cooper Minis as the main show feature this year (if it goes ahead as planned).
MCR’s National Mini Day at Beaulieu
"The central arena will focus on ordinary minis from the comparatively standard to the rather more radical. The mini scene has always been one of variety and can boast to have more accessories and modifications available from the 60s onward, than probably any other car. The Mini Cooper Register is a club for all mini enthusiasts and this display will demonstrate the sheer range of minis that are owned by members.
Expect to see standard 850s as well as with thoroughly modified examples including commercials, estates and Hornets/Elfs as well as some of the rather better equipped minis of the 21st century.
Around the edge of the arena will be displays of each register within the MCR, with two of each car from MK1 Coopers to Modern Minis. Registrars and owners will be in attendance to answer any questions."
