Hello everyone

Bit of an issue. I have recently rebuild the engine and box of my 1330. It was a newly bored skimmed , box sparkly cleaned etc.

I ran the engine for about an hour outside the car to make all fine, no leaks etc and all seemed fine

I plugged it all in ready to take it for its first run to break the engine in and installed it. Then once i started the car there is a constant ticking/knocking/hitting sound.

So i have so far done this

Ran the engine
Push clutch pedal in sounds stops completely
Leave clutch our noise persists
Rev engine sounds seems to reduce but this could be false( maybe clicking faster than my ear can pick it up)
Ran without clutch cover/wok sound persists
Ran without clutch plate and sound stopped so from here it is assumed it is the transmission or transfer gears issue
Turned primary gear by hand, no stopping or locking, smooth turning

Rockers all seem fine, as i mentioned clutch pushed in or clutch plate off there is no sound, so i hope and assume crank, piston, clearance and rockers are all good. Also checked internals of chamber and all look fine, piston crown loom lovely. Oil pressure is about 80psi cold start. It is newly build

Sound is very loud from clutch side

I looked at all bolts incase anything catching and all good

Any suggestions, i am gonna have to take it apart but any guidance might help to see what to look for

I am now guessing it could be idle gear clearance or baulk rings

Any advise welcome, thanks for your time and help

I tried adding a video but it doesn't seem to upload so describe the sound it is a clicking sound or clanking same tempo. I know it isnt easy with out hearing it i will try and get it up
