Help Debugging Wiring - Lights

Best Answer cal844 , 14 June 2020 - 03:17 PM

Hi Cal;

checking brown wire to fuse box - think i have found the wire - testing resitance there is a brown wire not connected to starter
does this just connect to same connection as main battery feed ?

I believe it does, I'd try just running another wire from the loom connector at the starter upto the fusebox, if everything then works you've found your fault Go to the full post

Hi

Problem i have is headlights and dash light not working

hazards work

indicators work

ignition light on dash works (new centre console)

indicator dash light works

tested all fuses - all ok

tested light switch - works

but getting no power to switch

no power to brown wire at fuse box -which im guessing is first thing to resolve

any suggestions on where to test next ? (i'm no electrical genius)

Make sure there is continuity in and out of both switch and stalk.

Check the fuses and earths too, make sure brown wire connections are clean and tight.

What year of car?
