Rear Wheel Arch Holes - Are These Supposed To Be?

Yes those holes are almost certainly from when someone had a roll cage fitted for mounting the rear section.

Hello all,

Quick question does anyone know what these two holes would be for inside the rear wheel arch? 72 MK3 in Canada. They are on both sides so they look like they have a purpose but not 100% sure why.

Your both probably bang on. Buddy cut the front off to put a Vtec in I believe before I purchased it so he was probably prepping it. I'll fill them in!!
