Restoring a 68 Traveller.
The heritage outer sill has a large 25mm round hole in it towards the rear. Between the crossmember and the rear arch.
The hole looks like a Jack point hole. But it can't be as the traveller van etc used a different jack to the saloon and I cannot find any reinforcing gusset to fit behind here shown in any catalogue. Also the hole in the sill has no strengthening plate like it has on the saloon... so certainly not a jacking point.
So what is the hole for?
Anyone with a traveller or van.... what's in the hole... is it open or something in there behind it?... does it have a grommet... what was fitted there from the factory.. does anyone know???
