HI and thank you for adding me to the forum.
I'm joining from Hong Kong - which has a small Mini scene that I am not allowed to join because my wife doesn't think "yet another Mini" can be justified. My cars are in Australia where car park spaces don't come with their own mortgage.
I bought my first project about 8 years ago - a 1978 Clubman. The body and paint were in good condition so it was just a matter of replacing everything else. I did this over the course of a year and was an easy way to get into Minis. This car was used for Motorkhana, Khanacross and Autocross events at our local car club. Taught my eldest to drive in it. Over the next few years it was altered and upgraded with a 1310cc A+ engine, Weber 40, Stage 2 LCB, 4-pot calipers and Coil-over suspension.

3 years ago I needed to scratch the classic round-nose itch and found a sad little shell needing a lot of help. This one is a 1965 Morris Mini Deluxe. After a full strip down the sandblasting got rid of the rust holding the holes together so a long time was spent at the panel shop replacing all the missing steel then a full paint job. I finally got it back to my garage 3 months ago and have just put in some quality Covid-iso time putting things back together. I managed to get to the point where it starts and runs. Outstanding items are the final 2/3 of the exhaust system need attaching together, I want a professional to put in the interior and then the glass can go in.
