How do you fit the glass indicators to a 93 mini ? they have three small fixing holes and the 93 has two square holes ?

Drill three small holes to suit.

I get that  but the rubber doesn't give me much faith holding the glass, as I expect you cant drill through the metal bulb holder ?

Metal bulb holder should have a large flange with 3 holes in like this:-

You can also get the same style lens in later plastic version if you prefer.

I seem to remember there was a chrome ring that you installed after the glass that embedded in the rubber and held the glass more securely or have I made that up? It was 1972 after all O_O

I too was suspicious that the rubber and metal ring is the only thing holding the glass, but it works.

6-7 years after fitting them they have never fallen out.

Problem solved used some tough nylon board drilled two sets of holes to make a big nylon washer then self tapped into the washer all good and tight
