Hi everyone,

Im just about to breath life in a 91 cooper  with a 998 on single carb (dont ask, it was done prior to me buying the car). I've owned the car for around 5 years and have had it dry stored for about 2 due to life commitments. Now feels right to start getting my hands dirty. im looking to swap out the engine for a 1380 or 1275, upgrade the brakes and suspensions. where the best place start looking for parts? also any advise on the best way forward, i.e, brands etc would be much appricated.

I would start with Minispares... you can get a list of what you want and an idea of costs.. then you can see how far you really want to go.. sadly although minis are a very cheap classic compared to many others, they are no longer the bargain basement they were, and costs can add up very quickly
