hi all

Short and sweet question.....

If I was to swap all my bulbs in the rear lights to led to increase brightness, is it just a straight swap? Or is there more to it?

Stop /tail and reverse (if you have them) would work fine. Could be a different story with the indicators though. Because the flasher can uses resistance (both normal and 4 ways) the new led lamps will have a lower resistance value and not work. Some do, some not. If it don`t work properly, adjustable flasher cans can be found on ebay. I had to fit both on mine.

As about, you'll need the flasher that can cope with the resistance.
A word of warning, don't buy the first LEDs you find, they are not the same. I use this company, their LEDs are good quality: https://www.classicc...lays-electronic

Remember you'll need to use red LEDs in trail/stop lights, half way down the page here: https://www.classiccarleds.co.uk/

Did you have to change the flasher unit to work with the LEDs or did you get away with straight swap?

You'll need to change to an electronic flasher unit or run resistors at the LEDs.

This type. https://www.superbri...lasher/782/836/

or resistors. https://www.superbri...arning-fix/190/

Look at the Youtube videos from Headlight Revolution they answer all questions LED. https://headlightrevolution.com/
