What dizzy would a ‘74 1275GT have?

I’m not running a vac advance.

Going to buy a Swiftune CSI so welcome opinions.

What is the actual difference between the 23/5D and 43/45D distributors and can either be used on a pre A+ engine with the older 2 bolt type clamp?

I have a Swiftune CSI and am very satisfied with it.  It has a variety of different curves from road to race applications

that are easy to change.  Pretty sure that the 43/45 can't be used on pre A+ engines.  Something to do with the length of the distributor shaft and the clamp.

The 45D4 as best I can determine was introduced to the range about Jan / Feb 1974.

Curves aside, there's really no difference between them, however, if you are considering running a higher voltage HT system, the 45D4 being a bigger diameter wil cope better.

Noted you are considering a CSI and really, when going to these, it's just a matter of your own personal preference and what might be period correct as far as appearance goes.

Mine is a late ‘74. Speaking with Swiftune I went for the 23D as basically there’s no difference to speak of, although the 43/45D was used until about 1980 when the A+ came into play.

I’m unlikely to ever own a later mini than my ‘74 Mk3 so the 23D made sense. In fact I’m more likely to buy more mk1s if any more minis are bought.
